Privacy notice

Controller within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR is Mario Franke; for address and contact see the legal notice.

Cookies and scripts. We set no cookies and load no scripts that are not strictly necessary; technically necessary security mechanisms of the hosting provider may be used (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). We do not embed analytics or tracking services or external fonts.

Server logs. When you visit the page, our hosting provider Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA, or its European entity) processes technically necessary connection data as a processor, for example IP address, date and time, and the requested address. The purpose is delivering and securing the page; the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in secure operation). We do not store logs ourselves. The hosting provider processes the data for delivery and security and retains it only as long as necessary for those purposes, according to its own retention rules; details are in the provider's privacy documentation.

Transfers to third countries. This may involve a transfer to the USA. Safeguards are the provider's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses; details are available from the provider.

Contact by email. If you write to us, we process your details to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries (our interest in answering enquiries). The recipient is our email hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) as a processor. We delete your message once the enquiry is settled, unless statutory retention obligations prevent this.

Your rights. You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). To exercise them, use the email address in the legal notice. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your data where it is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We will then no longer process the data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds. An objection in text form to the email address in the legal notice is sufficient.

Provision of data. Retrieving this page technically requires that your IP address is processed. Contact by email is voluntary; without your details, however, we cannot answer your enquiry.

Security. This page is delivered exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection (Art. 32 GDPR).

Updates. We amend this notice where necessary to reflect changed functions or a changed legal situation. The version published at the time applies. Last updated: October 2026.
